The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to begin their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Audiences can expect discovering which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
