Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, readers and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to get Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
