The House investigative committee has published a collection of roughly 70 photos obtained from the property of deceased found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third release from a tranche of more than 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It features pictures of passages from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and obscured pictures of female foreign passports.

This release arrives mere hours before the 19 December cut-off for the Department of Justice to make public every records connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These latest images raise further queries about what exactly the DOJ has in its possession," stated the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Disclosed

Several of the photographs made public on recently feature Epstein speaking with professor and activist Noam Chomsky on a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing alongside a individual whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest affluent, influential figures to be pictured in Epstein property images released by the committee - formerly disclosed images also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Appearing in the photos is is not considered proof of any illegal activity, and a number of the pictured individuals have asserted they were not participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement released with the image disclosure, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein property holders did not supply context or dates for the images.

"Images were picked to offer the public with clarity into a illustrative selection of the images obtained from the estate, and to provide perspectives into Epstein's network and his exceptionally alarming behavior," the announcement states.

The release also includes a number of images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, pelvis, and back. Lolita tells the tale of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

A particular passage from the book inscribed across a female's torso reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of photos of women's identification and official papers from states around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the details on the papers, like names and dates of birth, is redacted but the panel said in a statement that the travel documents are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

An additional photograph depicts Epstein positioned at a workstation closely flanked by three individuals whose features have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and a second is leaning to view a close-by device. Epstein seems to be aiding the third fasten a bracelet.

An additional photo made public is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unnamed sender who states they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$1000 per female".

Photograph Disclosure Comes Before DOJ Cut-off

The panel has many thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "at once graphic and ordinary," its announcement on Thursday explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on charges of sex trafficking, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein estate provided to the panel are separate from what is largely called "Epstein-related records". Those are records under the DOJ's control connected to its own investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Transparency Act, which the President made law in November, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its files. The full nature of what is included in the DOJ's documents is unknown, and it's expected that much of the content will be significantly redacted, comparable to House Oversight Committee documents
