Former Doctor Faces Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
