Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from that period of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular emotional displays on court had led observers to question if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent saved 4 initial opportunities in a tight third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
